The Eurasian Heritage The Eurasians have been an important part of the Singapore Story for more than two centuries. The gallery is divided into three zones, which will transport visitors back to the eras where the stories take place. Each zone provides a contextual setting to the stories and the exhibit methods involve both tactile and digital to enrich the visitors’ experience.From the Storytellers We started with this singular mission: How do we bring the rich history closer to the visitors? The answer is: a collection of artefacts, mementos, personal items, commemorative objects, and photos.These are tangible memories to enhance the sense of the past, spark visitors’ curiosity and form conversations. Using various exhibit methods, the gallery becomes more than just a space that exhibits objects, it allows visitors to experience, understand, and even embody a story through those objects.Branding &amp; Identity Through understanding the historical identity of the Eurasian history, we draws inspiration from the traditional European tiles into a contemporary brand motif. Spatial-Interactivity and Visual Immersiveness Working closely with Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), the Navy@Vivo19 exhibition conveys the significance of Singapore territorial sea and its impact on our everyday life. Through a combination of interactive design and strategic spatial layout, visitors are fully immersed as soon as they enter the site – discovering the role of RSN in safeguarding our sea.Encapsulate the Sea The undulating form of the exhibit structures symbolises the unpredictability of the seas. The presence of RSN is represented with vessel-like structures which evokes stability, reliability and vigilant. Both combined to show the challenges and responsibility that the Navy must overcome and uphold at the sea every day.Visual, Ambient &amp; Tactility To evoke a strong visceral connection between the sea and our everyday life, our team curated a thematic showcase featuring a series of visual and tactile exhibits. Creative Approach The theme of the virtual exhibition is #OurArmyFamily, which celebrates strong camaraderie and brotherhood forged amongst solders in the Army as well as a homage to the support received from Singaporeans and families for the soldiers’ contribution to national defence. There are seven immersive zones that encompass the Army’s evolution, operational capabilities and platforms, the soldiers’ dedication, as well as family-oriented activities and programs to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Singapore Army.Designing the virtual environment For the virtual exhibition to be immersive, we collaborated closely with the 3D designer and programmers to develop navigation tools and an intuitive user interface. Together, we created a virtual island with the ‘home’ emblem &nbsp;and different buildings for visitors to explore intuitively.Providing information and maintaining a visually appealing layout The virtual exhibition should be easy to navigate and use, without sacrificing the quality of content. By carefully balancing these two elements, each zone has its own uniqueness without compromising on usability. This project is done under Kong Studio while Sudden worked as a Senior Graphic Designer.
